Invicta Watches Reviews: The Bang for the Buck!

Invicta watches are the perfect example of the expression – bang for the buck! Pick out any of their watches from the catalog; you’ll always see two things – top-notch craftsmanship and a reasonable price tag.

Invicta has created this legacy over a long period. The Swiss brand started its journey back in 1837.

Yes, Invicta has been a big player in the watch world with a legacy of over 183 years. It seems like they are on a mission to justify their name Invicta which means invincible in Latin.

Apart from their massive collection of formal watches, they have come up with some quirky designs. For example, you can get a Captain America or Black Panther themed watches from them.

These designs are the children of their collaboration with Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, DC Comics, NFL, U.S. Army, Barito, Shaq, Jason Taylor, and many more.

It’s only normal to feel overwhelmed with choices while going through their product catalog.

Top 7 Invicta Watches Reviews (Collection-wise)

Invicta Pro-Diver Collection – Most Popular Option

Invicta Pro-Diver Collection

The Pro-Diver is the most popular series from Invicta.

It’s their crown jewel!

The design aesthetics of this series is heavily inspired by Rolex (especially Submariner) and Omega. But, rather than spending thousands of dollars, you can show-off these masterpieces at a sub-hundred-dollar price range!

This is the biggest selling point.

The casing and the bezel celebrate stainless steel to showcase durability. The diver timer bezel also tries to compliment the “diver” tag. You’ll see lume on the markers that help you see the time underwater or low-light conditions.

Another notable trait of the pro-Diver series is the water resistance and waterproofing (at least 200m). Well, you’ve probably guessed it already. A watch series with a tagline saying “master of the oceans” should come with these features.

There get both the Japanese Automatic or Quart movement models available.

Notable Features

  • Stainless steel casing and bezel
  • Waterproofing or water resistance up to 300m
  • Japanese quartz or automatic movement
  • Both bracelet and strap-type bands available
  • Unidirectional bezel
  • Luminous markers to see time in low-light situations

Pros

  • Budget-friendly, just like any other Invicta watches
  • Looks very premium (resembles Rolex in looks)
  • Accurate water resistance rating
  • Durable build quality

Cons

  • Japanese movement lacks accuracy, gains about 15 seconds per day
  • Lower quality control
  • Bracelet links are not up to the mark
  • Bezels are hard to turn

Invicta Aviator Collection – Most Fashionable Choice

Invicta Aviator Collection

The aviator-style watches are becoming more and more popular among modern-day users. Previously, the functionalities of the aviator watches were necessities. The additional dials and numbers helped the pilots to track their flight durations.

Today, aviator watches are more of a fashion statement.

Invicta also jumped in to impress the massive crowd with their Aviator Collection.

The biggest trait of Invicta Aviator Collection is that most of the newer models have a punchy neon color combination. In terms of design philosophy, you can get different styles –

  • 3-dial chronograph with two buttons
  • Simplistic buttonless GMT Style

All of the aviator models have stainless steel casing, even some of the models have gold-plated bezels.

However, the water resistance feature lacks behind.

Yes, you’ll get 100m water resistance, which is good enough for snorkeling and swimming. But you shouldn’t take it with you while scuba diving.

This is the biggest difference between Aviator and Pro-Diver collection.

As most of the watches in this collection have quartz movement, they are sleeker.

Notable Features

  • Comes with 3-dial chronograph or simple GMT models with date
  • Punchy neon color scheme (in newer models)
  • Stainless steel casing
  • Quartz movement
  • 100m water resistance/proof

Pros

  • Budget-friendly
  • Wide range of collection with massive variety in styles
  • Sleek (because of quartz movement)
  • Water resistance
  • Sturdy build quality
  • Modern design philosophy

Cons

  • Less water resistance
  • Accuracy issues (better than Pro-Diver though)

Invicta Speedway Collection – A Mix of Sporty and Formal Taste

Invicta Speedway Collection

Are you into racing? Especially into car racing?

Yes?

Well, you’ll definitely fall in love with the Invicta Speedway Collection. Speedway collection is one of their pricier series.

Some find them to be a well-thought cross between Pro-Diver and Aviator that marries the sporty and formal looks together.

But let me tell you something.

The similarities between the Rolex Daytona Series and the Invicta Speedway are screaming out loud!

So, yeah, Speedway Collection is the cheaper version of the Rolex Daytona!

Still, you are getting a ton of premium features like Swiss Chronograph movement, better water resistance (200m), Tritnite luminous hands, race-themed textures, etc.

In any race, timekeeping is very crucial. To meet that need, most of the Speedway watches come with a 3-dial chronograph. These are the 60 seconds, 30 minutes, and 1/10 of second dials.

On top of that, you’ll get the date function.

From any perspective, Speedway is a far superior series compared to Pro-Diver and Aviator.

Notable Features

  • More accurate Swiss Quartz movement
  • Available in both stainless steel bracelets and leather straps
  • Better waterproofing with 200m max depth
  • 3-dial chronograph feature with date function
  • Tritnite luminous hands
  • Race themed designs

Pros

  • Better accuracy
  • Classy designs celebrate both the sporty and classic fashions
  • Has a chronograph feature
  • Luminous hands offer visibility in the dark
  • Great water resistance rating

Cons

  • Pricier than other Invicta series
  • A clear knockoff of Rolex Daytona (Might be considered as a pro too)

Invicta Specialty Chronograph – The Budget Option

Invicta Specialty Chronograph

The Invicta Specialty Collection is the pinnacle of innovation coming from this brand. Every single one of the models has something unique features to offer. It could be either from functionality or from a design perspective.

The designs are modern, bold, and often celebrates minimalism.

Again, this series of Invicta watches use stainless steel. It seems that stainless steel is the go-to option for Invicta.

However, some of the models have plastic in the casing. This material choice makes the collection even more affordable.

Also, the water resistance rating is quite off-putting. Most of the models have a 100m water resistance rating. You can easily have these watches in your swimming pool sessions but definitely not while scuba diving.

Overall, this collection is just perfect at this price point. I’d call it the best entry-level collection from Invicta.

Notable Features

  • Innovative design philosophy, every single model has something unique to offer
  • Minimalistic design
  • Stainless steel and plastic (in some models) construction
  • Scratch-resistant flame fusion crystal dial window
  • Available in stainless steel and polyurethane bands
  • Japanese quartz movement

Pros

  • Most affordable collection
  • Unique designs
  • Fashionable
  • Scratch-resistance dial cover
  • Water resistance

Cons

  • Accuracy issues
  • Durability issues, poor material selection

Invicta Subaqua Collection – The Premium Choice

Invicta Subaqua Collection

No, not all the watches from Invicta is cheap!

Let’s talk about the best of the best that Invicta has to offer – the Invicta Subaqua Collection.

In this series, Invicta tries to display the strength of their engineering team.

For example, while other series offer little water resistance up to 100m only, Subaqua offers solid waterproofing up to 500m!

Integrated shock resistance and unidirectional rotating bezel only complements the superb waterproofing.

From the design perspective, the series is drawn towards a larger diameter. Most of them have a 50mm large diameter. So, it won’t go well with thinner wrists.

Subaqua series also heavily focuses on stainless steel body with some models offering black or gold ion plating. One of the unique features of these timepieces is diver buckles with protectors to offer a higher degree of safeguard against water.

As usual, you’ll get a flame fusion crystal dial window for the scratchproof experience.

Notable Features

  • Waterproofing up to 500m
  • Integrated shock resistance
  • Unidirectional rotating bezel
  • Stainless steel body with black or gold ion plating
  • 3-dial chronograph
  • Swiss quartz movement

Pros

  • Invicta’s top-shelf collection with the highest quality
  • 500m waterproofing
  • Ultra-durable
  • Better accuracy
  • Stacked with features

Cons

  • Most expensive range from Invicta
  • Bulky and heavy

Invicta Force Collection – Ultra Durable

Invicta Force Collection

Invicta Force Collection is all about ruggedness, strength, and offering loads of features.

The philosophy behind the design and manufacturing is to offer top-end timepieces to the mass people at affordable pricing. They intend to “end class antagonisms” by celebrating democracy and revolution.

Invicta has stacked premium features like tachymeter, Quartz movement, and 3-dial chronograph. Plus, you are getting 100m water resistance.

So, in a sense, you are getting almost every single feature.

Invicta has also included some of its unique features in this collection, like – Tritnite lume hands and flame fusion crystal dial protection.

But the biggest selling point of the Invicta Force Collection is the brute looks and feels. The sense of masculinity and power makes the collection appealing to the customers.

Notable Features

  • Bold, masculine design aesthetics
  • Features tachymeter
  • Japanese quartz movement
  • 3-dial chronograph
  • Water resistance up to 100m
  • Stainless steel casing and stationary bezel

Pros

  • Loaded with all kinds of desirable features
  • Premium finish with better durability
  • A great fashion statement
  • Affordable pricing

Cons

  • Too bulky
  • Reliability and accuracy issues

Invicta Angel Collection

Invicta Angel Collection

Hey ladies, haven’t you always felt a bit overlooked by the watchmakers?

Yes, it’s true!

The number of men’s watches surpasses the women’s watches by a great margin. The choices are also numbered compared to the men’s watches.

Well, it’s a good thing that Invicta is concerned about the issue and created a separate collection for the ladies. They are calling it the Angel Collection.

Compared to the men’s watches, this collection focuses more on being unique and colorful. Invicta is well aware of the fact that the timepieces have to have a sense of aesthetic appeals and fashion statement.

But don’t have the wrong idea – these watches are loaded with functional features.

For example, you are getting solid stainless-steel casing and bands (most of the models feature bracelet-style bands). To offer higher precision, they have incorporated Japanese or Swiss quartz movement.

Plus, you are getting 100m water resistance.

One of the identifiable features of the Angel Collection is the rose gold finish. The majority of the models celebrate the rose gold finish.

Overall, this a great choice for fashionable and elegant ladies all over the world.

Notable Features

  • Aesthetically pleasing
  • Celebrates feminine color palettes (rose gold, light indigo, platinum, or gold)
  • Swiss or Japanese quartz movement
  • Stainless steel finish
  • 30m to 100m water resistance
  • Smaller diameter (30mm to 39mm)

Pros

  • Fashionable
  • Sturdy finish
  • Often includes pricey finish with diamond or zirconium
  • Better accuracy with quartz movement (compared to other Invicta collections)

Cons

  • Still has accuracy issues
  • Low water resistance rating

Are Invicta Watches Good?

Look closely at all the collections that I’ve mentioned above. Almost all of them have a common ground – they are cheap.

They are offering all the premium features but at an insanely low price point.

For instance, their most popular series Pro-Diver comes at a sub-hundred-dollar price range.

The confusion only increases when you visit their official website. The MSRP is about 2x to 3x times higher than the actual price in the online or local marketplaces.

This is why people get confused. Some even question their originality!

So, are Invicta watches any good?

Yes!

First of all, Invicta is an originally Swiss brand – don’t let anyone confuse you.

However, Invicta had a hard past due to the quartz crisis. They were about to go extinct. Then, a U.S. investment company acquired them in 1991 and revived the age-old brand.

Invicta then adopted a new strategy. They wanted to offer top-end technology at a lower price so that Invicta can become the watch of the common people.

Right now, they have two H.Q.s – the corporate H.Q. in Basel, Switzerland, and the Brand H.Q. in Florida, USA.

A huge number of Invicta watches come with Japanese and Swiss quartz movements. These are their top-shelf watches. But they also sell watches that have Chinese movements.

The first category is entirely assembled in Switzerland.

So, is Invicta watch a good brand? Yeah, they are a good reputable Swiss brand.

But the Chinese movements in the watches is the culprit behind their bad reputation along with their poor customer management and quality control.

The Goods About Invicta Watches

Rolex

The biggest positive side of an Invicta watch is the pricing. Just imagine getting a Rolex Daytona or a Rolex Submariner at the hundred dollars!

Wouldn’t that be fascinating?

In this price point, there is not a single brand that can come even close to the quality that Invicta is offering. Invicta is the KING in the hundred-dollar watch market!

Now, let’s talk about the features.

I’m pretty sure none of the “premium” brands can offer chronograph, tachymeter, or 500m waterproofing at this price point. From features to the finish-quality, everything is top-notch.

So, you are not compromising with features or quality in any way.

The third and final good thing about Invicta watches is the abundance of choices.

Invicta has a watch for everyone!

You’ll feel overwhelmed by the number of models and collections. Every other month, they are flooding the market with a huge number of new models to meet your taste and personality.

The Bad about Invicta Watches

Everything about Invicta watches seems too good to be true. The prices are great, and watches are stacked with features.

So, what’s the catch here?

First of all, the majority of the watches from Invicta has accuracy issues. Although Invicta is telling that their watches have Swiss or Japanese movements, they are not Rolex-level accurate. There is always a 10 to 15 seconds discrepancy.

Another big issue lies within the size of the watches.

Invicta has a tendency to “pack all the features” in the watches. As a result, watches tend to become bulkier and heavier. Some models even weight a pound!

So, if you wear them in the gym or take it in the swimming pool, it might move up and down your wrist. It’s really annoying.

Invicta has a bad reputation for being inconsiderate to their customers. Being a budget watch brand, Invicta can’t offer customer service like the industry moguls.

You’ll have a hard time getting decent after-sale services. I can’t blame Invicta regarding this issue as entry-level watch companies don’t really make that much money to establish dedicated service centers all over the world.

The last issue with the Invicta watches is very interesting. I’m not even sure if I should call it a “con” or a “pro.”

Invicta is widely known as a knockoff brand! This accusation stuck with Invicta after they shameless copied some of the iconic models from Rolex.

For example, imagine that you’re walking down the road, and someone asked you, “Is that a Rolex?”

Sadly, you’ll have to reply with a no as your watch looks exactly like Rolex but is not a Rolex.

It might bug you a little!

Conclusion

Despite the shortcomings, Invicta watches are solid. You’re getting a feature-rich watch without breaking the bank. Plus, in the plethora of designs and models, you can surely find your perfect little timepiece.

So, which collection would come on the top if I have to rank?

Well, there is no way to deny that the Invicta Pro-Diver will claim the top spot. It’s the fan-favorite and easily recognizable.

Then, I would place the Aviator Collection is the second spot for being the trendiest option.

Finally, the Invicta Speedway Collection would steal the third place for satisfying the needs of both the formal and casual users.
