10 Best Tissot Watches to Get in 2020

Tissot Dress Watch (Model: T0356171605100) – Overall Best

Tissot Dress Watch

Tissot Couturier of the Tissot Dress Watch is one of the finer products from Tissot. If you’re looking for a true value champ, then, it’s really hard to look past this marvelous gem.

What’s the best part of this watch?

Build quality and the attention to detail!

Tissot Couturier comes with all the elements of premium quality watch. When you pick up the watch, the first thing you’d notice is the finishing quality of the case. The genuine leather compliments the silver tone of the case.

Tissot could’ve cheaped out on the choice of clasp or on the crystal. But they didn’t!

Just the fact that Tissot used butterfly clasp and genuine sapphire crystal shows us how Tissot wants us to experience luxury.

I tried so hard to find a flaw of this masterpiece. After spending hours, I could only think of the synthetic leather on the back of the strap.

Tissot Men’s T0914204405100 T-Touch Expert – The Ultimate Tough Watch

Tissot Men's T0914204405100 T-Touch Expert

Tissot literally showcases their height of innovation and engineering in the T-touch series watches. Yes, it’s true that Tissot doesn’t make the caliber in-house and outsources from ETA. But you need to understand that ETA designed the E84.301 caliber as per the requirements of Tissot.

So, all the credit goes to Tissot for making such bold design choices. Also, Tissot T-Touch Expert can challenge the best of the best watches in terms of durability and strength. Very few watches come with complete titanium body.

There are a ton of options out there with ABC sensors. I have been a watch-enthusiast since my teen days but even I lost track of the number of features that come along the watch!

Tissot Specialities (Model: T0194301603101) – Simply Elegant!

Tissot Specialities (Model: T0194301603101)

Tissot Heritage is a special series from the brand. Tissot first introduced date/date display back in 1950s which was a big moment for the brand. The Tissot Visodate collection became classic hit.

Tissot Specialities from the Heritage collection tries to pay a tribute to that collection. Tissot loves to call this collection – a nostalgia.

However, Tissot has used premium and modern components inside. For example, if you are watch geek, you’d know how popular the ETA 2824-2 is. It’s arguably the best workhorse movement in the world, and the 2839-2 is the upgraded version with the day-display added on top.

Overall, the watch is very elegant and offers the perfect classic looks.

Tissot Men’s V8 Chrono Quartz (Model: T1064171104200) – For the Motorsport Lovers

Tissot Men's V8 Chrono Quartz (Model: T1064171104200)

In the automobile industry, V8 engines hold a special place to users. It’s the perfect example of efficiency and performance. Tissot tries to replicate the same “superior” image of V8 with the Tissot Men’s V8 Chrono Quartz.

You can have a glance at the watch and notice the subtle design choices related to the automobile industry. Especially, the tachymeter bezel seems very relatable towards a V8 engine.

Inside, Tissot used the same movement as the Seastar 1000 – ETA G10.212.

Overall, it’s a great sports watch that offers impressive durability and toughness.

Tissot Men's Bridgeport (Model: T0974271605300)

Another head-turning Swiss automatic watch from Tissot. Tissot Men’s Bridgeport (Model: T0974271605300) is a unique watch as the other watches in this collection features quartz movement with one or two exceptions.

Certainly, the most notable feature of the watch is the ETA-Valjoux Caliber 7753! I was stunned seeing a 27-jewel masterpiece priced at such low price.

For example, Breitling Superocean Héritage also comes with the same movement but it costs well over $4000!

Okay, we’re down to the last watch of the list today and it’s Tissot PRS 516 Powermatic 80. It’s another testament of ruggedness and engineering from Tissot.

It features the in-house POWERMATIC 80.121 movement that comes with 80 hours reserve time. Then, bezel offers ultra-ruggedness that is matched by very few other materials.

Finally comes the design choice. The PRS 516 is heavily inspired by the 1960s motorsport themed looks. You can witness some hints at the watch face and in the steering-wheel styled see-through case back.

Is Tissot a Good Brand?

Of course!

Tissot is one of the few Swiss watch brands that an average joe can afford. It’s true to that Tissot doesn’t offer the mesmerizing “limited-edition, elites-only” Swiss watches. But one should never frown upon the quality of the Tissot watches.

In fact, if you ask me, I would give Tissot the title of The Ultimate Value Watch from Switzerland.

Plus, you’re looking at a brand that has stayed strong in the market since 1853! Tissot has a legacy to maintain and they are doing it excellently!.

You’ll get top-of-the class build quality, reliability, and accuracy from any Tissot watches. And, you’ll not have to break the bank!

What Did We Like About Tissot Watches?

Tissot is a true Swiss brand! Unlike many others who source components from Swiss retailers and assemble in China, Tissot has maintained their reputation by offering 100% Swiss components.

It’s true that Tissot uses third party suppliers (ETA for movement) but even are from Switzerland. But you won’t ever get cheap or poorly made watch from Tissot.

Tissot watches are well-made and will impress you with craftsmanship. It’s true for their entry-level $300 watches too!

Plus, all the Tissot watches come with 2 years of warranty and they have a good reputation for having a supportive customer service.

What Didn’t We Like About Tissot?

Do you remember how I said that Tissot is a Swiss watch brand for an average Joe?

Well, it’s the biggest negative point too!

Due to the cheaper pricing, Tissot watches can don’t belong to the aristocratic Swiss watch industry. While a typical Swiss watch costs about $10,000, Tissot watches are barely over $1,000. Most of them are priced around $300 to $500.

So, you can’t enter the elite Swiss watch club with a Tissot watch.

Conclusion

Tissot is a big name in the watch industry and they have made their name by offering nothing but value and quality to the market.

So, which one is the best Tissot watch overall?

To me, Tissot Dress Watch (Model: T0356171605100) comes top. Second comes Tissot Men’s T0914204405100 T-Touch Expert.

And finally, Tissot Specialities (Model: T0194301603101) is my third choice.

So, that was my take on Tissot watch review!
