Top 6 Best WeWood Watches Reviews
WeWood Kappa Wood Watch – Overall Best
WeWood Kappa Wood Watch (Chocolate) is the most technologically-rich model from the brand. WeWood doesn’t focus too much on the technical specs, but this model is a big exception.
After all, the Kappa is their flagship collection.
Of course, the very first thing that you’d notice about the watch is the full-wood build.
The rich chocolaty color comes the texture of the Indian Rosewood. It’s a sturdy wood that magnifies beauty with polish. Streaks of purple and red within the dark chocolate base color is the distinctive feature of the wood.
On the dial, you’d notice the three subdials. You might mistake these subdials as chronograph dials. Actually, these subdial indicate –
- Day
- Date
- 24h time
After going through all the collections of WeWood, I am certain that their Kappa collection is the best in their arsenal.

WeWOOD KAPPANUT Kappa Nut Watch – WW15005 – The Flagship Option
Basically, it’s the same watch with all the same specification but in the WeWOOD KAPPANUT, you’ll get walnut wood as the building material.
Also, if you look closely, you can also notice some changes in the hands and markers. Rather than choosing brown, they went for grey, black, and light green as the color option.
Other than these two changes in design, the two watches are identical!

WeWOOD Odyssey Brown Miyota Movement Watch – Best Ladies’ Watch
WeWood’s ladies’ collection, the Odyssey collection, is quite fascinating. You can rock this watch in “the office meetings” and in the nightclub at night too.
Due to the smaller form factor, the watch simply looks and feels like an elegant wooden bracelet. All credit goes to the chocolaty Indian Rosewood.
There are Arabic numerals as the hour markers that are glossy silver in color. Also, the hands and the dial circle have the same glossy silver finish.

WeWood Jupiter RS Wood Watch – Best Military-themed Watch
Yes, WeWood has a military-themed collection too. This might sound really odd as strength and durability are not the strong suits of the WeWood watches.
Well, the army tag of the WeWood Jupiter RS Wood Watch didn’t come from that “strength and durability” perspective. Rather, the name stuck to the design because of the choice of wood.
WeWood has used a South American wood called Verawood here. This wood offers a combination of olive and dark forest green tone that resembles the camouflage of the army outfit.
Plus, you’ll fall in love with the design principal. There are two separate dials – one with hour-minute hands and the other with the second hand. You can control these two dials with separate crowns placed on both sides.
A fascinating design indeed!

WeWood Metis Beige/Chocolate Wooden Watch – Best Unisex Watch
The WeWood Metis Collection rocks a classic look that fit perfectly at a male and a female wrist.
There are two distinctive features of the Metis collection.
First, Metis collection offers a beige-chocolate tonal contrast with the use of Indian Rosewood and Field Maple.
Secondly, you’re getting a date-display at the 6 o’clock marker.
Overall, I would say, this is the most classic and minimalistic option from WeWood.

WeWood Mimosa Wood Watch – Best Budget-Friendly Ladies’ Watch
The Mimosa collection feel very unique and different from the other collections.
The band is made of a slim 13mm wooden bracelet. It’s rare to find such slim band among the wooden watches. Plus, the dial is also quite small.
But the most distinctive character of the Mimosa watch is given by the full-black African Blackwood (Mpingo).
Despite all these interesting design-features, it comes at a very affordable price tag!

Is WeWood a Good Brand?
WeWood is a unique watchmaking brand. While other watchmakers thrive to offer higher precision, innovative features, and better build quality, WeWood is more focused on design.
But don’t get me wrong, this Italian brand revolutionized the watch industry.
Designing wooded watches is NOT new thing. A designer, James Borden designed the first wooded watch in 1980. WeWood is the first one to mass produce them.
Certainly, such practice provokes questions and environmental threats.
WeWood is on a mission to plant trees as well. They collaborated with non-profits like American Forests and Trees for the Future and plants one tree for every watch they sell.
From 2009 to this day, WeWood has planted 604,475 trees and aims to plant 1 million trees by 2020.
So, rather than being a dedicated watchmaker, WeWood is basically a crafts maker with a massive environmental responsibility.

What did We like About WeWood?
Well, it’s pretty simple – a fully wooden watch is nothing short of an artistic masterpiece. WeWood is one of the better-wooded watch brands in the world.
I might not use one as my daily driver, but I love having these masterpieces in my collection.
The second thing that I loved about them is their core motto. By buying an artistic timepiece, I am actually taking part in the reforestation program.
Their “You buy a watch. We plant a tree.” is a remarkable movement that many other brands followed later on.

What Didn’t We Like About This Brand?
It might sound disappointing but the “don’t like” list is quite long!
These watches from WeWood are great as showpieces but you can’t use them as daily drivers. The wooden build quality is very flimsy. The joints easily break-off. I am very disappointed with the build quality.
Then, comes the issue of water-resistance. Although WeWood claims that these watches are splash-proof, the reality is quite the opposite.
If you are wearing a WeWood watch, please, don’t go anywhere near water.
Well, it’s understandable as they are using 100% natural wood as the construction material.
Still, it’s an issue.

Conclusion
So, what are the best WeWood watches?
Certainly, their flagship WeWood Kappa collection comes on top of the list. The second place goes to the WeWOOD Odyssey Brown Miyota Movement Watch for being the best female watch.
Finally, WeWood Jupiter RS Wood Watch (Army) claims the third spot for remarkable design aesthetics.
